Photoemission signature of the competition between magnetic order and Kondo effect in <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:msub><mml:mi>CeCoGe</mml:mi><mml:mn>3</mml:mn></mml:msub></mml:math>

The competition between magnetic order and Kondo effect is essential for the rich physics of heavy fermion systems. Nevertheless, how such manifested in quasiparticle bands a real periodic lattice remains elusive spectroscopic experiments. Here we report high-resolution photoemission study antiferromagnetic system CeCoGe3 with high TN1 21K. Our measurements reveal weakly dispersive 4f band at Fermi level near Z point, arisingfrom moderate effect. intensity this exhibits logarithmic increase lowering temperature begins to deviate from Kondo-like behavior below 25 K, just above TN1, eventually ceases grow 12 K. work provides direct evidence local-moment antiferromagnetism, indicating distinct scenario microscopic coexistence these phenomena, which might be related real-space modulation.
